It stops across the street, and makes year round traveling around town or to the Ski Valley in the winter- so simple. The hotel is ready to accommodate individuals, couples, families and groups for all occasions by offering affordable, spacious rooms, combining Southwest charm with early Taos architecture. this place lost our reservation, seems like a pattern from other reviews, they don't seem to mention anywhere that there is no air conditioning, rooms were dirty, no ammenities, desk does not open till 7:30 so don't plan on checking out early. There are a lot of nicer places in Taos and most are less expensive
1st: Reserved room thru this website, and later motel claimed to be full. Glad I confirmed later! Photos on website must've been taken by a National Geographic photographer; not as nice in person. ""Heated pool"" : 68 deg. Bugs, cobwebs in room. One small soapbar in bath. No shampoos, etc. Room smelled odd. ""Walking distance to Plaza"": only if you don't have small kids (3/4 miles). ""Lite cont. breakfast"": bread, bagels, various spreads. Hint: NEVER go during Mem. weekend: Harley-ville. Loud, 24 hrs. I'd forgotten what motels can be like...
