Amenities
The Lodge Resort and Spa established in 1899 is a Triple AAA, Three-Diamond resort, nestled in the Sacramento Mountains of Southern New Mexico, surrounded by the mountain pines and aspens of the Lincoln National Forest. The hotel offers a cool, enchanted, relaxing retreat with a premier golf course/shop, elegant dining at Rebecca's Restaurant-named for our resident Ghost, spa services at The Spirit of the Mountain Spa, and boutique shopping at The Mercantile and Seasons. The resort also provides exercise facilities, swimming pool, sauna room and outdoor whirlpool. Packages offering lodging and other resort amenities are available. The main Lodge, rebuilt in 1911 by the Sacramento-Alamogordo Railroad, offers 47 non smoking rooms each individually decorated with a Victorian flair. All rooms come with private baths, on three floors. Rooms and suites echo the style of a long forgotten era. There is a room type to fit every need-cozy standard rooms, comfortable deluxe rooms for couples and families, to Junior Parlor suites. For the height of historic elegance, there are the Honeymoon and Governor's Suites. The Lodge Retreat, built adjacent to The Lodge, houses four non smoking luxury suites, each featuring a fireplace, jetted garden-size tub, private deck and wet bar. All suites share a common area with conference table, kitchen facilities, billiards and ping-pong tables. The Retreat is a perfect enviroment for small company meetings or family get-togethers. The nearby historic Pavilion Bed and Breakfast Inn, yet another Lodge Resort property, offers eight rustic rooms with a cabin-like feeling. Each room in this 100 year-old building comes with a private bath and traditional breakfast for two, while some rooms feature a stone-laid fireplace. Guests also have access to a large common area with a fireplace, soda machines and ADA compliant bathrooms. The building is ideal for housing a family reunion, wedding party or company function.

as the owners want it to bed. Not good for seniors with knee problems as the best rooms are up stairs (no elevator, it's got an older section). Wonderful views. Solid to excellent service.
I can't stress enough how much we really loved staying there and how beautiful and charming both the lodge and its surroundings are, esp with new snow! Lovely place at Xmas esp. Will return, hope beds are new.
My husband and I were extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service. There is no reason to pay double and triple to stay at this resort over the cabins and smaller hotels available in Cloudcroft.
I loved it! I was 8 months preg and didn't like the stairs since they have no elevator! But otherwise it was perfect!!
