it is a cheap and good for sleep hotel... it is right on the strip, so it has a great location.

Overall, I did not have any bad experience...all I can say is you get what you paid for. The hotel was very reasonable for the location and very convenient for going everywhere. We took our own car to this vacation...and got to the hotel. The parking is the ALL THE WAY BACK to the hotel. After paking the car, we had to walk ALL THE WAY to the front for check in. The line for check is was so long, so be ready for that if you want to book the hotel. In spite of the two negative signs in the beginning, room was better than I expected, and I liked that we could get the room that faced to the swimming pool (Some of the rooms are facing right at parking structure...). The staff was very friendly and I did not have any problem with it. It was an okay vacation, although I did not have extremely negative experience at this hotel, I am not sure if I would like to stay next time. Only if I need to, I might stay.

Well my husband and I went to Vegas for a small get a way, My second trip my husbands first, so I really wanted to impress him with the whole VEGAS trip. He thought that the hotel was okay UNTIL we went into others. It has a smell and the rooms are just rooms nothing fancy. The first night I didn't feel safe we were on the end of a hallway on the 2nd floor and so I decided to call the front desk and ask for another room that overlooked the pool, and the next day we were able to change rooms. That next morning we didn't have a iron so I called housekeeping and they brought us one pretty fast. Each night I asked for extra pillows got them no problem. Service Was VERY good in those area's. The casino was okay the slots are HOT at night, and the singers were great. the hotel was in the center of everything that was good!! you walk alot no matter where you stay in Vegas. Would love to go back and stay at another Hotel and I'm sure that we will stay at the imperial again also, just needs alittle updating thats all!

While it occasionally took time to get ahold of the front desk once we did their response time was very good. It's nice to be one of the monorail stops, that helped.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautifful. The elevators were slow but only because they were busy. The entertainment on the floor was fun. I wish they had a fast food restaurant besides the diner. The check in and check-out was no problem. The baggage storage attendant was very nice and took good care of everyone. Can't wait to return. Also, the location of this hotel was great.

We had received a Harrah's offer via email. Before we booked we read reviews from Travel online. We knew from the start that the Imperial Palace was an "older" hotel. That said, our experience was positive. We checked in on a Wednesday evening and had a short check in line. The front desk clerk was great. Our package was for a deluxe room. When asked if we were celebrating an event. My wife said it was my birthday and they upgraded us to a Jr. King Suite on the 16th floor with a partial strip view. It wasn't the nicest room in Vegas that we've stayed in, as we've been to Vegas many times, but it was better than the average hotel room, ( Remember why we're there...to gamble and see the shows. You're not in the room that much ). My knocks against the room were no safes in the room and the air conditioners were noisy. We had read other reviews indicating that the elevators to rooms were slow -- we never had a problem with getting an elevator. We ate at the buffet the first morning. It was good for the money. We did eat at the Burger Palace one day for a late lunch. It was the worst hamburger I ever ate. I could only eat half of it. The pool was okay but bring your flip flops because there is a lot on concrete surface in the pool area. The location is the selling point. The staff was friendly and you can afford to gamble in the casino, ( daytime table stakes were 10 ). Overall it's a good value for the money, especially if you get offers from Harrah's. We'd stay again.
