Visited Vegas for our Anniversary. We checked into the Jockey Club and called the next morning to see if we can change rooms because of the Construction Noise. Very dissappointed at the response from the Hospitality service, the lady recommended we use 'Earplugs'. The noise was 24/7 and LOUD. We did not enjoy our stay and have even left our exchange service for booking us in a place in which we didnt enjoy or couldnt even find us somewhere else to stay. There was no indication that the noise was on that level and we were disappointed at the fact that they were quick to book our stay.......
Business travellers beware! This hotel, the Jockey Club, is not fit to be rented out to anyone who expects to sleep. The property is adjacent to a huge construction site that operates from 4am to midnight daily. There is no sound insulation from the heavy earth-moving equipment that operates through the night so it doesn't matter which part of the hotel you stay in, or if you switch rooms as I did - the noise is simply too loud. Street locatiom is poorly lit and dirty. The front desk could not provide a receipt upon check out. Front desk could not assist with room changes. No bellman service available. No taxi service is available, despite claims that a shuttle would come and take guests to a casino where they can catch a cab - no shuttle every materialized. Internet access didn't work. This dump is a disaster zone for a business traveller and guarantees I will NEVER use online travel website again for a hotel reservation - the property was completely misrepresented.
The suites are extremely large and clean. Location is excellent; right in the middle of the strip. ONly downfall, is that there is current construction next door, but can hardly hear it if you stay on the opposite side of the hotel, facing Bellagio. No construction though at night, so you can sleep, during the day you are out anyways.
Have stayed there 2 years in a row!!
