Terrible experience. Walls and floors are too thin. We could hear the tv in the next room. We were also kept awake by the footsteps in the room above ours. It sounded like a herd cattle were rooming above us. I finally called security but nothing changed then the cattle got up at 5 am which woke us up. Housekeeping is terrible. We were there 9 days. They constantly forgot to put soap and other items in our bathroom. I found a cut on my heel which left two blood stains on my sheets. So I left the card on my bed requesting for the sheets to be changed. They were not. So I left the card on top of the blood stains. The sheets still were not changed. One evening we returned to find that our room was not cleaned at all. I reported it to the front desk and then saw the Operations Manager in the hall and told him. This hotel gives you nothing. Every other hotel I?ve stayed in in Vegas gives you a coupon book when you check in. Not the Silverton. Plus there?s no coffee maker in the room, no microwave and no refrigertor. There?s only a minibar which I had to empty so I could put my items in it. Do not expect a room with a view because there are no good views and the rooms are too dark including the bathroom. Our view was the service alley all week. The buffet is not very good and is very very expensive. Internet is expensive. I would advise everyone to choose another hotel and not stay at the Silverton. You will regret it.
Great room fo the price. Staff was friendly efficient. Restaurants were clean, service was quick and our stay was very pleasant. We will consider the Silverton the next time we are in the area. The remodeling and construction that was going on was never a problem.
My Wife and I dined at the "Twin Creeks Steakhouse" on April 3, 2008. The staff was great. Except for the Chef. We ordered the Shank of Lamb, described by are waiter, to be sliced off the shank and placed on top of a bed vegetables. My was great, but my wife's came with a 2" shank bone, that she found with no problem. Then she had bit of the vegetables. To bite on a bone, that looked like a garlic clove. That shatter a tooth. The waiter and manager, appoligized very quickly for the mistake, but nothing from the chef. We filed report with casino security, Richard Huf. He said they would take care the tooth problem. When we expressed, we were not paying to have the tooth fixed. We said fine and did not make a big deal about incident in front of everyone else there. It killed our evning out. My wife got ill due to the pain of the tooth. we got home and called to see what we needed to do. For her to see a dentist. They report we had to wait for the insurance to contact us. A week later after a few phone calls. We got letter from the insurance, stating to go to dentist a prove, the tooth is broken. At our expense, if the dentist found a broken tooth. We submit for payment to the insurance for a refund. We told them, we are not pay out 2000 to repair, and wait for ever for a refund. Do to their resturant's mistake. They said we will get back to you. Another week of phone calls to the casino and the run around. We get a letter dening the claim. Saying lamb shank has bone in it. We both order the samething that night and mine did not have bone. As for dining or staying at Silverton, NEVER AGAIN. If this is the way they treat their customers, do not waste you time. From here it will be a legel matter, it could of been a fixed tooth and no problems. But now the big corp. insurence, has to push around the little guy. Is going cost them more in legel costs, than solving the problem, the easy way. NEVER AGAIN AT SILVERTON CASINO OR TWIN CREEKS.
If you don't mind staying off strip and taking a Taxi, I'd recommend to anyone to stay at the Silverton. It IS a Lodge, so it's not fancy, but comfortable. Very family oriented(besides the fact you can smoke inside ANY casino in LV). We went there for my little brothers 21st B-day, just to stay, and took a Taxi to the strip, cost about 15 per cab, but there was also 6 of us Adults, so not bad.The only reason I knew about it, is because my best friend lives in Las Vegas and that is one of the places the "locals" go to hang out, eat, and gamble. THE BEST PART, is the Mirmaid lounge! They have a HUGE aquarium inside with stingrays and small sharks and eel and a bunch of cool fish and they have a performing Mirmaid 3 times a day and also an education fish feeding 3 times a day(all this can bee see from the lounge and from the Casino). The lounge is 21/up, very cool decor and super comfotable and it's nice to just sit there and have a drink and some appitzers (which are totally reasonable).Everytime I go to Vegas we will stay there. For the price, you can't beat it! Oh and don't forget your AAA discount!
We stay at the Silverton every time we go to Vegas. This is a great hotel for the price, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the beds are very comfy. The only problem we encountered this past trip was that the pool closed early on Saturday at 4pm so that they could prepare for a concert that they are having throughout the summer.
Room was clean; nice casino; but showerhead pressure LOW, A/C LOUD, NO curtains, housekeeping loud @ around 8AM!! They were eager to start cleaning the rooms early; check-in time GOOD. Probably will not stay again...
Luxury meets comfort at the Silverton Hotel, with the look of a western lodge and the energy of the Las Vegas Strip.
This affordable resort just south of the Strip is home to 300 spacious western themed rooms and suites with 24-hour room service. G
A hidden gem in Las Vegas
Being my first trip to Las Vegas, I was a little apprehensive about staying off of the Strip. Boy was I wrong. The Silverton was great!
Season's buffet
I haven't stayed at the hotel, since I live in Las Vegas, but I wanted to comment on the buffet, Seasons.
