We stayed in a junior suite on the 36th floor directly across from Ground Zero and we loved it...but I think it is because we were up so high and that on Friday July 4th no construction was going on. The suite was great: corner window for the parents and a foldable sofa for the kids with their own TV in the main room (common bathroom between the rooms). We watched the fireworks from up there! The restaurant was pretty good and the pool was clean and very very nice (there is a small sauna as well). The concierge was not too helpful as far as tips for local breakfast place.

A nice, very clean, contemporary hotel. Service from the front door to the room was quick and suprisingly hospitable. This was our first trip to Manhattan. Living in the South, we were not expecting the hospitality we received. We will definitely return to Manhattan and stay at the Hilton Millenium.

The construction noise made it the value of this hotel close to zero. We had added a weekend stay to a business trip, but the construction just kept going. We had no warning ahead of time. I will never ever stay here again. While the amenities and rooms are nice, it does not make up for nights with no sleep. I'd rather sleep in a one star hotel. I cannot believe this hotel is even open given the noise. The construction went on all night!!!

 by  anonymous  on  2008-04-27

Thank me later. Our trip was a small getaway, which we were told we'd receive a free breakfast, notification if there was construction, and have a jacuzzi. All of those selling points were complete fabrications. There was no breakfast, (it's 26/pp for a mediocre buffet) There was a tremendous amount of construction at Ground Zero (which by the way should not be a tourist attraction.) And, as for the jacuzzi, many people complained that the hotel had completely made it up, b/c there was none. In addition, if you even OPEN the mini bar, you are accused of taking things out, because there is a sensor and you will automatically be charged, even if you didn't take anything. (I swear!) My bed upon arrival had hair all over the pillow, and to top it off, the staff was very rude, and unwelcoming. They did nothing to go out of their way to make the trip a memorable stay. I will never stay at another Hilton again, if you want a great value, try the Hyatt chain- they are never a dissapointment.

I took my two daughters with my sister to experience New York and show them the Big Apple. We could not have asked for a nicer Hotel located right next to Ground Zero and all the history there. The Hotel was clean, fancy, and staff was very helpful. We would stay again in a Heartbeat.

 by  anonymous  on  2007-12-09

Stayed here for a weekend getaway and Christmas sightseeing. Staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. Gave me free breakfast coupons which saved a ton. Had a room with queen bed on the "back" side of the hotel, so did not hear construction noise from Ground Zero. Room was on the 51st floor with great views of the Brooklyn bridge. Clean room with plasma TV and nice amenities. Would definitely stay here again.
