Compact as a yacht, the hotel anchors the workaday corner of Church and Duane streets, surrounded by TriBeCa's evolving mix of superb shops, galleries, lofts, and restaurants.Light floods the 45 guest rooms, which tend to be small but quiet. Done in cheerful green chartreuse with blond wood, they display quality details, from slate bath tiles to generous white Mama Bear bedding. Each guestroom design includes oversized loft windows, 11-foot ceilings, and hardwood floors. Custom designed furniture, wall panels holding plasma televisions and artwork are crafted of natural wood to match the wood plank flooring. The slate bathrooms incorporate natural materials and a glass shower with rain showerhead.Rooms feature natural blonde hardwood flooring accented by modern furniture. Clean, sleek, the staff was perfect. Room was perfect and silent for a NYC hotel. A perfect little sportscar of a hotel. I almost don't want anyone to know about it. I felt like a movie Star.
The staff is curtious and and efficient, when we arrived they promptly attended to our luggage Checkin was quick and uncomplicated. They had an itenerary prepared of events taking place in Manhattan for the new year celebrations and transit information from the hotel to Times Square for "the ball drop" and back to the hotel, which was very conveinent. The room was small for a family but comfortable, perfect for business travelors or a romantic getaway . The egyption cotton designer linens where heavenly , the beds were soft pillowtop bliss. It's a brand new hotel so give it a chance you will love it like we do. Can't wait to try there menu, the resturant was not open at the time that we where there. But we will be back minus the kids. Thank you so much Duane St Hotel.
