The Place to Stay
We just got back from takng our daughter to school in New York on the Upper West Side and the Buckingham was recommended to us by the school. ...
Booked through HOTWIRE at a very good price. The first room was dated and dismal! The front desk offered a suite for a small additional amount. The suite was huge andvery nicely decorated. (One large bedroom, large living room w/ full kitchen). Everything was very clean. The bathroom had just been updated. The new bath vanity actually touched theedge of the toilet. Sitting on the toilet was a tight squeeze, even for the little folks. Still the suite was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. This hotel is very convenient to Carnegie Hall, Central Park, Fifth Ave shopping, BroadwayTheatre, and Times Square. The Buckingham is genuine New York. Despite its quirks/age,I enjoyed my visit and would recommend this hotel. I strongly recommend upgrading to a suite.
