Being a former new yorker I'm used to getting less than what I pay for so my stay at the comfort inn in sheepshead bay didn't disappoint my low expectations. The comfort sunshine breakfast's high point was an elderly gentleman reliving his past as a performer in the catskills as ""tango bob"" but the food reminded of a bad jr high cafeteria. The location is prime, but otherwise it rates a solid 2.

The rooms are big and clean and great value compared to Manhattan. BUT there were too few seats in the breakfast area and many guests had to wait and wait for a table. Also there were no staff in the breakfast area. They had to be called many times - for milk, for bread and for cereal. The waffle machine had no instructions and one guy made a real mess of it. It took 10 mins to find a staff member to clean up the mess.Meanwhile nobody could use the machine :-(If they can get more seats into the food area OR lower the room rate and exclude the 'free breakfast', I will be back

For the fair price of this NYC area hotel that's it was VERY nice, Considering that I live or come from the hospitality belt(GA). Easy to find from freeway or street. Rooms were very clean & Housekeeping is suberb! Accesible to local transportation. Staff was friendly. Could have had more of a restaurant/ take-out selection, a visitors attraction guide, and better shower pressure. Overall I would stay there again definitely!!!!
