when we checked in the woman at the front desk did not speak or understand english very well. The room was clean but in need of major repairs. The bath room floor tile was loose and coming up, causing a tripping problem. The bath tub had been painted and the the paint was peeling and you had to be careful as to not cut your feet. There was only one bath towel and when I ask for another one the lady acted as if I had stolen a towel. On the second day the room was not cleaned, the bed not made , and no clean towels or wash cloths. In order to make the shower work I had to tighten the screw on the control knob.As far as We are concerned this was not even a good place to sleep. I will never stay there again, and would not send anyone to this place.
I really like the managers, they are nice.
rooms are a joke 55 dollers is way to much for the way they keep up this place they use eazy off to clean the tubs. the beds are like sleeping on a kitchen table .lamps have wires haning out dont work. outlet are falling out of the walls floors are rotten . its ran by people who cant hardley speak inglish not friendly at all if you do stay here bring toilet paper couse they will not bring it to you. its a wonder they havent bein closed down they must be paying the right person off honeymoon motel its not well night night them bed bugs due bite
Bathroom update long since overdue at the Dunkirk. My wife and daughter wouldn't even go in them til I did a little clean up. (it was too late and we were too tired to ask for another room) Kitchen vanity falling apart. Paint peeling. Disgusting bathtub. Beyond description.
what a surprise we got when we checked in late Saturday night! This motel has been sorely neglected for MANY years, both in terms of maintenance and housekeeping. Immediately we were a little concerned when we were told that there was no number on our room; someone had stolen it a while ago--and no one had replaced it. The tub was so old and/or dirty that I wouldn't even shower. The towel rack was broken; there was no tissue in the dispenser; the curtains hadn't been laundered in who knows how many years; the door had layer upon layer of dirty finger prints; dead squashed bugs dotted the wallpaper near the lights. I could go on and on. What takes the cake is what happened when I tried to complain to the management in the morning. No one was around; there was a note on the counter that told us to leave the key. I rang, knocked, shouted for 5 minutes--but these people are clever. How can you respond to complaints when you don't show your face? So--please don't waste your time (and considerable money) at this motel. It is about the worst I have even stayed at, and we do travel a lot.
Friendly front desk staff. Room was very dirty, sheets were not clean, toilet was not working, beds were on cinder blocks, no TV remote, lamp shades were brown with dirt at top and bottom. People sitting outside playing cards at a table, rough language and loud. There were also no towels, not even dirty ones. We tried to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. We had to stay because it was late when we got there, and after checking several other hotels, there were no rooms available. We would never stay here again, and would recommend no one else to either.
