We did a lot of research before we made our selection. We wanted a nice hotel in downtown Cleveland, but not as pricey as the Ritz. We were very happy with the hotel and our experience. We asked for a romance package and a room in one of the upper floors with a nice view of the lake and cityscape. We loved our room, the bed, the view, the bathroom was so clean it looked like a brand new hotel. The package included free parking (otherwise 16) and 2 free breakfast vouchers at their restaurant. The breakfast was a large buffet that we enjoyed. Our only downside was that there was no pool or hot tub. We did use the fitness center and thought that was nice also. We went on many walks during our stay to various places of interest downtown and to the pier at sunset. We never felt that our safety was at risk and everthing we needed was within walking distance.
This was my first time in Cleveland. I plan to return in mid-June for another long weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to find my bank right at the corner so I was able to get cash quickly. The shopping center at the corner of St. Clair Avenue was wonderful--I bought some nice things for my mother. I took walks in the afternoon and felt quite safe. I loved the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame--anyone visiting should check it out. The food was great in the hotel, I ate there three times. Other times I ate at a place recommended by the front desk--sorry the name escapes me right now, but I plan to eat there again in June. The hotel shuttle personnel were very accommodating and timely in picking us up from dinner. Room was nice and the maids friendly. I actually booked my return visit the night I left. Overall, I loved it and going back soon.
Over all, when first entering the hotel it was very nicely kept, very pretty and went right along with the rock and roll hall of fame style. The lobby was quite impressive as well as the staff. They were very nice and useful when it came to good places to eat. The shuttle was also wonderful taking us to dinner and picking us up rather than paying for a cab. The only complaint that I really have was that we were promised this "sleep bag" that was suppose to contain some lavender spray for aromatherapy and some other things to go along with it that we never saw. The hallways on the 8th floor seemed sort of drab and run down, they needed just a little bit better up keep. But the bed was FANTASTIC and very very comfortable. I would stay again if it were just for sleeping in that bed:o) I would stay here again for the most part.
The room was nice and the staff friendly. However, the windows were busted out of my vehicle. Even though parking is managed by a security post, they claimed no responsibility. They put plastic on my windows and tried to send me on my way. I had to stay extra days while my vehicle was being repaired. I had to end up being very confrontational to get any response from the hotel. They finally comped one night of my stay and the parking fees. Two nights at the Crowne Plaza ended up costing me 2300.
Great location. Service was friendly & accomodating. You could see the stadium from the room.
Excellent hotel! We stayed here to go to a Cleveland Indians Vs Yankees Game. The hotel was within walking distance to the ballpark, also within walking distance to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Science Center and Browns Stadium. Our room was lovely, nice and clean. The bed was extra cozy, they had a "relaxation" theme which was nice with a cutle little bag of sleep aides (lavender linen spray, face masks, ear plugs, nightlight) The staff were very friendly, My only complaints was that parking was very expensive ~20 and because the hotel was fully booked it was very difficult to find a parking space in the garage. Check in was also very slow. We would definatly stay here again! Another added plus was our room had a great view of the city and the waterfront!
