We've stayed here twice in the past year and we've loved our time here; the people are very friendly and the restaurant is great(it was closed this time for Christmas)but we've stopped here and eaten on other trips to Portland...check out the bakery...love the bathroom, beds, towels and general attitude of the staff...also cool to see the pets even though we don't bring ours along, especially at Christmas, many of the dogs are dressed up. Also, piano player in lobby is a nice touch while we're playing Scrabble. Close to many other restaurants including City Grill(30th floor)which is delicious and has a fantastic city view.
Stayed twice - once in a Starlight Room, once in the Garden room. The Starlight room was fine, though I expected more of the ceiling to be windows! It wasn't particularly large, but was nicely furnished. Mostly had a view of the opposite building and not stars. The free valet parking was wonderful, though. The second stay, in the Garden room, was great! Very comfortable. Our own private hot tub on our own private lanai on the 9th floor - it doesn't get any better than that! Plenty of towels, and the hot tub was plenty hot. Also liked the fun animal print robes. Ate at the restaurant, and it was good - the grilled chicken salad I had for lunch was really nice, though the portions were pretty insanely large. My boyfriend and I found that sharing a meal made it just about perfect.
We had an excellent experience at Hotel Vinatage Plaza! The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful! Anything we asked for we recieved. The restaurant next door was wonderful and our room was incredibly cute, comforatble and clean! We all loved the hotel (especially the free wine tasteing in the afternoons) and would definitely stay there again.
Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was in a great location for all of Portlands best places.
I stayed at Vintage during the July 4th holiday and found the hotel charming with rooms named after wineries that we just visited in Willamette. The staff is courteous, helpful, and accomodating and offered us coupons for the attached bakery since they didn't serve continental on the 4th. For the price and service I would definitely stay here again.
1. Some hotel rooms have strong lingering smoke smells even though the hotel went nonsmoking. Avoid the 3rd floor, a formerly smoking floor. 2. Twice, staff did NOT honor the Do Not Disturb sign posted on the door. Mgr apologized and stated staff need retraining.
