Great stay in Grants Pass
Spacious & comfortable room and really good complimentary breakfast make this a real value. Good location and nice property (attractive lobby ...
Hotel was very clean, room was well laid-out and comfortable. Lots of in-room amenities, business center by the lobby was very well set up. Very close to freeway, which was convenient & the rooms seem soundproofed enough that you can't hear it. Very close to a lot of good, family-style restaurants. Staff at front desk was very pleasant & helpful, heard them giving directions & suggestions to quite a few other guests, including turn-by-turn maps to local restaurants & attractions. If you are able to stay in this hotel (it was sold out the other times I've been here) I would chose it over the others in the area.
We have stayed here on 2 occasions and have been very pleased both times. The breakfast is excellent and the staff is wonderful. The towels are thick and new and the choice of pillow is an added bonus. I am extremely picky about where I'll stay and would definitely stay again. The staff in the breakfast area were very accomodating even when I arrived toward the end of the the service. They allowed me to take food back to my room to my hungrily awaiting family and even went in the back to get me fresher versions of the food they had out. The cinnamon rolls are excellent and they had a very well rounded selection for all ages. As to the proximity to the freeway, it was extremely well located and you can't hear any street noise, especially if you stay on the 'city view' side. All in all, a great place to stay in Grants Pass!
Although the room was exceptionally clean... paper thin walls, no fitness center, pool - out of order?, very dingy but clean linens, view of the interstate 5 offramp (great sound all night!) you could hear every step from the room upstairs and they were probably sleepwalking because it went on all night - we barely slept. You could hear every door close all night and the TV and conversations in the rooms on either side. Breakfast attendant was the cinnamon roll Nazi, only two rolls out at a time for a packed room! Holiday Inn boasts about these rolls. We stayed at another HI the night before on our road trip and it was exceptional all around.
The room was very nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. Really liked having a choice of pillows. =) The complimentary breakfast wasn't elaborate, but everything was fresh and well-prepared. If this is the new look for Holiday Inn, then I'll be staying with them a lot more.
