Beautiful hotel, great customer service. Front desk gave us choice of river or city view. We chose the city view which was spectacular at night! The concierge was helpful and friendly. Only thing that may be a negative for some people is that it's not located right in the center of the historical area, but about a 10-12 minute walk from it.
I've stayed at four major downtown Philly hotels, but this place is the nicest. Very attractive lobby and friendly staff. It's central to everything, plus there are plenty of restaurants and coffee places in the immediate area. The neighborhood is really safe and right near City Hall. On my last visit I was able to get a room on a high floor with a wonderful view of the city. The bed was excellent and the room was clean. I know this because I check the floor, sheets, etc with a flashlight. I was there on business, so I was happy to have high speed internet and a safe big enough to fit a 17" laptop. It's not the cheapest place in town, but I would come here all time if the budget allowed. They even gave me a late checkout (2pm) on a Sunday afternoon gratis. Some places charge you for this.
On this trip, I was trying to impress my teenagers that Philadelphia is a vibrant & stylish city, and staying at this hotel partly accomplished the mission. Right on Market St across from Hard Rock Cafe & 1 block to Reading Terminal Market for breakfast. Phllly Phlash busstop right at the front door. Solefood restaurant is right in the lobby. Walk to many restaurants, but not the busiest part of Center City. Staff got a little backed up for the Memorial Day weekend rush: long checkout line, valet parking was too busy to even answer the phone. Neat architecture. Great view of Philly from our room on 22nd floor.
Awesome place for your pet - they catered to Rebel's every need (oh, and mine too). Great high end hotel that's VERY pet friendly.
Excellent service and location. Th staff will go the extra-mile to make sure you are happy. Also, the view from the 22nd floor is stunning.
Loews Philadelphia has the best front of house staff in town. Problems are solved quickly and with a smile. Lost items (a pair of shoes left behind in a room upgrade) were found promptly and delivered with a smile by the head of security.Smiles everywhere and you're known by name by staff members who had the opportunity to help out.
