We loved this hip little hotel. The location was great, walking distance to waterfront and good resturants, shopping. We prefer to stay in suites, which this was. The only draw back was the sitting room furniture (sofa/chair) which were quite uncomfortable, more like sitting on a bench. Rooftop deck was a nice bonus!
I had an enjoyable stay at the Mill St. Inn. Great location. We really enjoyed the hotel room layout and decor. The bedroom comforter was the best. Fluffy and comfortable. We would go back.
Only two blocks up from the shopping district, this restored late 19th century millwork factory building is very modern and stylish. The neat and uncluttered rooms are calm and sharp. We were in a suite with a livingroom with TV on the first floor and a large bedroom, up a set of cast iron circular stairs. We had a porch that looked out at the harbor---what a view at sunset with the bridge lite-up in the distance! With on-site underground packing, a pleasant breackfast room and tea in the afternoon---who could ask for a better location?
I concur with all of the positive comments previously stated. Our room must have been redecorated, because it was perfect. The linens were awsome, the room very artsy, clean and spacious. The staff couldn't have been more friendlier and more accomodating. You are literally a 5 minute walk from everything, and if you master the trolley you can travel throughout Newport for 1.50/trip and avoid the parking nightmare.Don't forget to go up on the roof to enjoy the Newport lights. If you are looking for something different yet safe- this is it!. A real treat!
