the hotel was only minutes from downtown chaleston and close to james island/folley beach. it had a small pool and a fitness room which i didn't use.the overall cleanliness was very good.they had a good selection of food for the comtinental breakfast but ran out of food early.the best feature of the hotel was location/price.

My family thouroughly enjoyed our stay @ this wonderfully designed hotel! As we were traveling home we ALL decided that this will be our pick any time we are in the Charleston area. The staff was VERY friendly and took care of our every need, and we are a high maintence family!! With all the new staff changes every was pleasant and attentive. The only thing we would suggest is a small fridge and microwave in the rooms. Our rooms were right beside a 4 lane highway and we never heard the traffic. LOVE IT !!!!!

The room was filthy upon arrival, the girl working the desk was rude, and there were holes in the wall, a dirty, used towel in the tub, etc.. never staying here again

 by  anonymous  on  2008-03-15

I was worried after reading the reviews, so we checked this out in person before booking, and we were pleasantly surprised! We were attending a wedding and needed a room close to downtown at a half-decent rate, and this worked out great for us. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. The drive to downtown was very short! They appeared to be remodeling one part of the hotel, but this did not affect our stay at all. The staff was helpful and friendly and the beds were comfortable. No frills, but a good value.

If you care about your health and safety and expect a staff that cares about it too...then this is the wrong place for you!

 by  anonymous  on  2007-06-02

The room and bath were clean and staff was very helpful. It was close to MUSC and it's pet friendly which is part of our family. Close to California Dreaming. Breakfast was ok.
