Gotta Go Here!
I Liked It Because It Was Fancy, And Clean. A Must Go!!!
This is not a hotel I would stay at again, under any circumstance. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out the staff was rude and unhelpful. The room itself was dirty, dingy, and just plain old looking. The sheers on the window were yellow and the wall paper in the bathroom was peeling and dirty. The curtains had cigarette burns in them, as did my comforter. The T.V. in the room was missing a couple of buttons, and I'm not sure when the carpet was vacuumed last, not right before we checked in at the least. The breakfast was convient, and tasted better than many I've had at hotels, and the location was good for our purposes. We were actually attending a convention at the Sheraton, but couldn't get rooms there. I choose this hotel because it was supposed to be a three star place for a two star price. I should have stayed at a Day's Inn.
We had a death in the family, and we needed a place for several days. When we arrived, they were all very nice. We had great rooms. I have a back injury so being on the lower floor was very important to me. The breakfast was excellant. Hot eggs, hot sausages, hot belgium waffles, hot sausage gravy and biscuits, Great cerals to choose from, Great coffee and juices. When all the familes meet us at the inn, we were taking pictures. We needed someone that could take a shot of all of us. X, the young man workiing the desk, Took the picture for us. So everyone there was great. We even returned on Sunday to stay one more night, So we could take a family member to the airport.
Bed Bugs!!!!!!! Need I say more.
I've stayed here before on 2 other occasions but was disappointed this last time. The cleaning staff didn't empty the previous guest's coffee filter from the in-room coffee maker. After checking in late in the afternoon, the guest coffee near the reception desk was almost cold. The continental breakfast that was advertised as having hot items had eggs, sausage and gravy. All 3 'hot' items were barely warm. Smoking is permitted outside on the porch area but cigarette butts in the ashtrays had not been emptied for some time.On the positive, the room was comfortable overall. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. My wake up call was done on time.
I stayed at the Country Inn because I had a 6am flight and listed under amenities on the website was "Airport Shuttle." But when I checked in and requested a 5:00 am shuttle to the airport, I was told the shuttle did not start until 7:00 am. After biting my tongue, I arranged for a taxi to pick us up at 5:00 am. We were in the lobby at 4:55 am and no taxi. After many phone calls and excuses and waiting for 20 minutes, still no taxi. When the newspaper delivery men pulled up, we offered them 20 for a ride to the airport. Thank goodness they were able to accomodate us or else we might have missed our flight. The room and accomodations were nice, but the hotel service was lacking.
This is the 3rd time I've stayed here and it's always been pleasant. They are supposed to be improving the breakfast selection soon which will include sausage/gravy/etc.
