Overall, if its Graceland and the museums associated with that you're interested in this was a good choice. If you intend on spending more of your time on Beale street and that area its probably better to stay in a hotel in town. The hotel was kept very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The king size bed was very comfortable.
My friend and I stayed here this past weekend. The staff was great, and the room was extremely clean. It's the best quality I've had in that price range- ever. The only problem we had was some unruly college-aged visitors upstairs that were loud and disrepectful. We complained to the front desk, and they did what they could to take care of it pretty much immediately. That was the only bad part of the trip. If it weren't for those people and the noise issue, I would have been 100% satisfied.
We've stayed at several hotels just like this one, but never as good quality as this one. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. My wife was 7 months pregnant and I have chronic back and shoulder aches from years of sports, but after 2 nights in that bed, we both felt young and rejuvenated again. The bathtub had jacuzzi jets which were completely unexpected and the continental breakfast that I expected to be a couple of stale danishes and donuts, turned out to be cinnamon rolls, cereal, waffles, and a large variety of juices, coffee, tea, etc. The only problem we had with our stay was no fault of the hotel. Our next door neighbors were up all night and extremely noisy, but again, especially since we were too tired and comfy in our bed, we did not report it and, so, this cannot be held against the hotel. If you're visiting Graceland, you can just walk from the hotel as it is only a few hundred feet, making the location as desirable as the hotel itself. For anyone traveling to Memphis on a budget, I highly recommend this hotel, where you will get a 4 star stay for a 2 star price.
We found the Days Inn to be great value for money. You get what you pay for. I would advise anyone that Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel would be my number one choice to stay in, but you have to book well in advance to get a room there. If you stay at the Days Inn you must check out the guitar shaped pool. The Days Inn is a haven for Elvis Presley Fans.More expensive but better neighborhoods can be found downtown. The Peabody Hotel is the ideal place to stay if you are looking for a downtown reservation.
If you are looking for a hotel on a cheap budget & that you are an Elvis fan then this is the place for you. Great experience.
My Fiancee and I visited the Days Inn Graceland for the second time in September, 2007. We enjoyed our stay at the Days Inn in February the same year,so decided to come back. We love this Hotel. The staff is easy going and friendly. The rooms are comfortable, especially the Beds! We love to get up early and eat our breakfast in the lobby/breakfast area which contains interesting memorabilia. Of course, if one is an Elvis fan such as we are, what could be a better place? Graceland is across the street, and great shops to walk to. I always take a walk at night from the Days Inn just to look at the lights at Graceland. Regardless of our love of Elvis, This is a great place to stay!
