We wanted to drive to the mountains and with the great review of this hotel made us choose this hotel. The parking is free and the staff were all upbeat and helpful (except the one in the late afternoon - she looked miserable!). The room is large and well-kept. This is the unusual hotel with lots of service that are not known to other hotels! Due to the approximaty to U of W, there are many affordable foreign cuisines around, and there was the entensive delivery menu available in the room. Coffee/tea is always available at quiet lounge, and the complimentary breakfast was more than I had expected. There are free shuttles available to many spots. I wish the bathroom floor was vacuumed during the stay. There was no thermostat, and the A/C unit was rather noisy. I chose to open the window to let the cool Seattle air in. HOwever, we were waken up by loud banging sounds from the construction across the street. We got the great price for the room, and we would definitely stay here.
We were delighted with the rooms, price and amenities. the proximity of fun restaurants and theatres and the University of Washington. great shuttle service into downtown, too/
Convenient to the Univ. but not that hard to get into town by bus or drive out to interstate. Decor is modern and comfortable, rooms spacious and clean. Breakfast -- good though unchanging -- is served in area that becomes well-regarded wine bar in the evening. (Or nearby restaurant has exceptional brunch.) Secure free parking, amenable staff, and unique ""a la carte"" for a variety in-room amenities (for children, or videos, etc.) are available. "
Visited U of W with my daughters -- GREAT location for campus visit, convenient to downtown Seattle, loved the modern architecture & decorating, lovely room, great bathroom, good breadkfast, excellent service. HIGHLY recommended!
My daughter and I stayed here while touring the University of Washington. It's easy walking distance from campus, and has many advantages over the cheaper campus-area hotels. We liked the free high-speed Internet, variety of cable channels, room size and comfort, free breakfast, Starbucks coffee, and free bike rental. (Note: their bikes were not in the best of shape, so serious bikers may be disappointed.)The free shuttle to downtown and reasonably priced airport shuttle meant we didn't need to rent a car.We really enjoyed our stay, and recommend the Watertown to anyone.
