Update Me

 by  anonymous  on  2008-04-02

Hotel needs to update rooms, recaulk bathroom. Bedspreads were ripped. linens worn out and stored outside in an open area with bugs and the ""building"" was falling down. Staff, with the exception of one young man, was unfriendly. Fiesta restaurant was very good and the staff was great. The ""beach"" was full of castoff contruction materials.

Update Me

My wife and I have been to the Island many times and we love the experience. We have stayed at the Ritz and a few Villas. This hotel had none of those luxuries. The staff was great, the location was convenient. The food was good and we were able to run over to the sister hotel a few times for meals, it was a nice walk along the beach. The AC did not work very well, that was frustrating. There is no morning meal on site, and snack foods are sparse. The snorkeling is poor compared to the numerous other sites on and around the island, but we did find 2 sea turtles, many starfish and other sealife around the rocky areas. There were few other guests and the bar was sparsely used by the handful of guests. In short, we enjoyed the solitude and the location for a quick getaway, but would not have stayed more than a few days,

if you can afford nowhere else

 by  anonymous  on  2007-06-02

This Best Western is literally across the street from the airport. No need to take a taxi if you can walk 5 minutes with your luggage. There is no beach at all! It is a small sandy area with a few umbrellas and chairs, only good for getting sun. The mexican restaurant onsite is okay but slighlty over-priced. If staying for more than 2 days it is cheaper to rent a car than to catch the taxis as these prices can add up. If you go nowhere else go to Magens Bay on St. Thomas and Trunk Bay on St. John. It's a must see!

We took the kids and this was great~rented a car and toured the island~needs improvement on guest relations. This was our first visit and this resort was good to get idea of other areas on the island for future visits.

We stayed here one night while waiting for another traveler delayed by weather. Location close to airport was great. Friendly service, decent Mexican restuarant, great view of water...no beach.

The lobby is hot. There is no elevator. The staff is unfriendly. I was placed in a room with no air condition and demanded a new room. They refuse to provide the complimentary breakfast. They do not provide free car service to the downtown area. It is all a hoax to make the price seem worth it. Stay somewhere else, anywhere else. I want my money back.
