Elysian Beach Resort, DON'T GO
we are time share owners at the Elysian Beach Resort (2 weeks) and go down every year . the management lacks any knowledge of just what vacationers want and expect when they arrive and stay there. 1st. they only have 69 rooms to rent so they are always overbooked. are weeks are deeded ,so we own the unit for 2 weeks every year sat to sat. this year we arrived on a sunday night and were told that they had put someone in OUR room and they would try and put us in another room. we got our room on monday. This properity used to be a RCI 5 star gold crown resort but no longer. it would be lucky to get 1 star. 2 resturants on prop. and both overpriced for what you get. if you don't have a car you are stuck there unless you take cab's everywhere, very expensive. if going to the USVI go to the Westin in St. John, cost more but worthevery penny
Elysian Beach Resort, DON'T GO
it was better in reality than the pictures was showing.only the beach was not really a beach but there's so many beaches in st thomas to explore than the one at your hotel .the studio was really clean , towells were changed everyday.parking facilities and proximity to the supermarket was perfect.also the restaurant is great and you must try the lobster.
We were very disapointed. The hotel staff was very rude and unhelpful. The hotel was not clean and in desparate need of maintenance.
My son & daugher-in-law were married on the Elysian Beach Resort on 05/08/07.. I arrived on 05/05/07 and the hotel staff was extremely unprofessional and rude. The check-in policy is not at all what my reservation letter stated from the company. The letter stated 250.00 deposit at check-in and we had to put a 3,000.00 deposit down. ! I was a hotel manager for years and I never treated my hotel guest like this and never charged them money ahead of time only at CHECK- OUT!!. !
