Awesome Resort!!

 by  anonymous  on  2008-05-31

The Sapphire Beach Resort is a wonderful place for families to stay while on vacation. We have 3 children that went with us (ages, 17, 13 & 10) on this vacation and they all had a great time as well as my wife and I. The suites were very clean and cozy and the king size beds were so comfortable that we hated to get out of them in the mornings. lol.. There were all kinds of activities to do that there at our own resort from swimming, snorkeling, beach volleyball, boating, tennis and more. The beach front at Sapphire was awesome because you could just lay out on the white sandy beach if you'd like or you could go snorkel in some of the clearest waters in the world. The coral reefs right in front of the resort were as beautiful as any we seen on St. Thomas or St. John. So it's not a question of IF we'll go back to Sapphire Beach Resort, it's more like WHEN are we going back. VERY SOON I HOPE... Trust me, You'll the this place as much as our family did!!

My husband and I loved it there. It was close to Redhook so we were able to go to St. John's as well to visit. The room was perfect. Had a kitchen and all the conveniences of home. We were on the 1st floor so we were able to walk out the back door on to the beach. It was awesome.

Great location

hotels location is great. we picked a harbor yacht suite cause it was a little cheaper but the beach was still only a short walk away. the beach was beautiful, and not very crowded. A nice family resort, great for couples or families on vacation. Hotel was clean the maid came everyday, friendly staff. The only thing was the hotel bar/restaraunt was closed, but they did offer free shuttle service to redhook where theres different restaraunts and a market so u can stock up your kitchen with food and snacks. Would absolutley stay again!

Awesome Resort!!

A total of four of us stayed at Sapphire Beach. We had a beachfront hotel room, where the patio led onto the sand. We had a couple of issues with the screen door and safe not working properly the first two days, but was eventually fixed. The only other concern we had was the abudance of stray cats around the resort. We figured the presence of cats had to be the reason we did not see any rodents....we preferred the cats instead of rodents!Overall, we all agreed the vacation was lovely, the blue water (rocky in most places) and white sand, nice people, good breakfast and a nice room.

Great location

My husband and I stay at Sapphire beach late March. We had a great time. The locatiion was great. We walked to Red Hook everyday. I would not recommend this with sm. kids/stroller. There is a grocery store where we p/u snack, pop, and beer. The cost was very resonable. We had a marinia view reservation-they up graded us to ocean view first floor!!! Ten feet out the door, sand and the ocean. Breakfast was bagels, danish, english muffin, coffe, milk and juices. The store on site was somewhat expensive. Down side-cab rides 10-15 each to Megans Bay and any other Bay you wish to visit. Cab fare to Red Hook 4.00 Duffy's very fun, a pizza joint across the street very good. The condo's are privately owned. Crusie ship guest come to the resort-beach crowded 11-3 not bad. We will return to Sapphire Beach!!

Love the Beach

The location was great, the beach was beautiful. The room was a nice size and had a great view. The bathroom was in terrible shape. Both sinks dripped water constantly and the toilet always ran and sometimes when you flushed it, it wouldn't stop. My husband had to take the back off and fix it himself. When we arrived, they said our room was still being cleaned, after an hour wait they gave us our keys and when we got into our room, someone was already in there. We had to switch rooms but I wondered how they could have been cleaning it when someone else was in it. Besides that everything was good. The snorkling was great and the veiw was beautiful. Despite the few problems I would stay there again especially if the upgrade the bathrooms.
