    Relaxing Vacation and Great Food

Travelocity   by  anonymous  on  Jun 9, 2007

Galley Bay was better than we ever expected. The rooms on the beach are four plexes with 2 units upstairs and 2 units downstairs. We stayed in one of the upstairs units and it was nice. The rooms did have A/C, but the windows do not have glass, they have wooden blinds that you roll open and closed. At first we were afraid it would be hot and loud, but neither were the case, it worked out great. The beach was wonderful and although lounge chairs were not assigned to the units we didn't have any troubles getting the same chairs everyday right outside of our room. The service at restaurants was great and the food was the some of the best I've had in the Caribbean. We will be making a trip back to Galley Bay in the future.

Felt like royaly there..... we were treated so well, all the staff would wait on us hand and foot. Not very crowded which is what we wanted.... NOT like a Sandals Resort..... more like where a celebrity would go for a super high quality vacation without all the people/gawkers. The beaches were gorgeous, the water was crystal clear with excellent snorkeling opportunities. Plenty of things to do on the island, we were just so happy just to relax on the beach at Galley Bay that we didn't want to do much of anything else. The cuisine was absolutely gormet.... top of the line dining. Nearly no bugs at all... and a wonderful breeze! It was sexy carribean: simple classic carribean decor, privacy, and 5 star service, what more could a couple want?
