Great location!
Only two drawbacks to our trip to Aruba. Not long enough, Although the bed was clean and roomy, it was too soft my my back. My wife had no issue with it however. The beach was as good as it gets. We looked around the island and think the beach at Manchebo is perhaps the best hotel beach. We did the all-inclusive meal program and would probably not repeat it. Not that the food at the resort wasn't good, but there are many other places we would like to try out. This facility is very well staffed. The workers have been there for many years and seem happy to be there. They were very respectful. I estimate the guests were equally mixed with Americans and Europeans. Again the rooms are clean, but not lavish. We contrast this with the RIU Palace which is a bizarre place. The lobby reeked of cigarette smoke. When we stopped there from the airport, no bellman received the visitors. They had to drag the bags up stairs and through a rotating door. We were well received at Manchebo and check in was a breeze. Rent a Car from Hector at Optima (soon to be Payless) Car rental. They are close by at La Cabana. We got a Toyota Yaris for 35/day. It was a big help getting around.
Our stay at The Manchebo Resort & Spa
XXX was great! I got put at the Machebo by Amsterdam Manor because they overbooked (horrible and wouldn?t recommend them). XXX was very understanding and accommodating of the situation. Our room was great we could literally walk out the door, onto a small patch of grass and be on the beach. The bed was comfortable and the room was a standard hotel room, it was clean and the air conditioner worked great. Everyone that worked there was more than willing to help with anything we needed whether it was a taxi or how to call America from my cell phone. The beach was gorgeous with more than enough huts along it. Dunkin Donuts was within walking distance which is always a plus! I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
Our stay at The Manchebo Resort & Spa
The staff at Manchebo was very helpful and friendly. The beach was absolutely beautiful and was the best around. Great for walking. The pool at the resort was small, but it was never crowded. There are several restaurants and a casino within walking distance and public transportation was close by and inexpensive. We would definitely stay here again!
Great location!
The staff is very friendly and professional.Any issues are handled quickly and professionally.Rooms are clean and beautiful. The food is delicious. All inclusive is the best value. The fitness center is much better then last year with more improvements coming. The beach is clean and just paradise. There is a nice mix of ages, some young children but you hardley know they're there. We took family with us on there first trip to Aruba and they loved the island and the Manchebo. We can't wait until next year.
Manchebo Stay
A wonderful, uncrowded beach, nice rooms, good food and just around the corner from probably the best casino on the island. No noisy kids - perfect for the quiet seeking couple, young or old. The beach is the best in Aruba, and the price is extremely reasonable. Very friendly front desk people. The French Steakhouse offers a fine 5 course meal for *, and a decent wine at * a bottle. We'd go back in a minute!
Best Vacation
We went to Aruba to celebrate our 26th anniversary. The Manchebo Beach Resort is a jewel. The rooms were very nice, the beach was incredible. The resturants were good. The staff was very helpfull. I would definately stay there again. It is more laid back than the high rise hotels down the beach.
Manchebo Resort was an excellent choice. The French Steakhouse restaurant was excellent. I was very please especially since I didn't know what to expect.
Have been to the Mancheb two yrs in a row and just love it.We go all inclusive and it works great. The food is delicious and the staff very helpful. The beach is beautiful and very relaxing. They could maybe have a little more entertainment in the Pavillion in the evenings. Can't wait til next year for vacation.
The Manchebo has the best beach, by far, on the entire island. Clean sand, calm ocean, and lots of space make this the place to go if you love the beach. The staff was friendly, the rooms were nice and the maid service was excellent. The only negative on my opinion was that the restaurants were overpriced (but served good food).
The hotel was magnificent, the food excellent and the people could not have been more friendly and helpful!
Resort is small. Distance to the spacious beach is nil. Lots of room to lay out, unlike other resorts that cram thousands onto narrow beaches. French Steakhouse is awesome. The ocean-side spa is ideal for couples treatments. Don't miss the couples shower! The Jeep tour and Kukoo-kunooko (sp?) bus were worth the
Great location!
Loved the staff. Hotel was very nice for 3 stars., lovely well-maintainted grounds. Beach is lovely -- Great place for folks who like to sun and swim. You'll need to "cab" to most everything so it's probably cheaper to rent a car for at least 3 or 4 days. We did not do the "all-inclusive" but ate there 3 times (Garden Terrace, French Steak House, and Pega Pega bar). Food was good but not great. Don't rent from Super Car -- Our vehicle was in poor condition (canvas top did not stay latched, bald tire went flat, not reimbursed for paid to have it changed). Super Car staff was totally indifferent, could not have cared less. Would return to Manchebo Beach Resort. Climate is wonderful.
Manchebo Stay
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurants were top notch. They had a steak called the "carascao," which was one of the planet's better steaks. I've been around, so I would know. The only bit of advise I have for other travelers is to pay for the all-inclusive. It will save you a ton on meals. The beach is awesome, because if you stay at a bigger name hotel, you will have no beach. The physical location of the hotel is in the middle of anything you would want to do. The only knock on the room is that the bed was a touch firm. Nothing to cry about though. All in all, The Manchebo is a hotel I would recommend to anyone who want's to go to Aruba.
Our stay at The Manchebo Resort & Spa
The Manchebo's staff was excellent. the two restuarants were o-k, a little pricey, but worth it. The Hotel's poolside cafe was great for breakfast. Great beach, plenty of huts, nice and quiet. Great get away for couples. Better to go in the off season as there is less of a crowd to deal with We are planning to go back next year.
Nice beach- we stayed at another resort for part of our trip to Aruba and the beach at Manchebo was much better. Not as crowded as the beaches up by the high rise resorts. I was disappointed in their customer service. Our flight to Aruba was canceled in Miami due to mechanical problems and we were not able to get another flight until the next day. We called and informed them of this and were told that they would not charge us for the one night that we missed. Upon getting back home they then refused to give us a refund for that night or work with us in any way. I could understand this if it had been during their busy season, but it wasn't and half of the hotel was empty during our stay. I could also understand if it had been our fault that we didn't make it down there on the day we were supposed to check in. If you choose to stay at this establishment, just be aware that they will not work with you if you experience any delays in getting there and you will be paying for nights that you did not use.
We chose Manchebo for the beach and the all-inclusive plan they offered. Both were outstanding. Going to the beach everyday was the highlight of our trip. It was clean, quiet, and very relaxing. Getting a beach hut was never a problem and we could stay all day with no worries of getting sun burned. The rooms were very basic but definitely acceptable. The maid service was outstanding. Dining experiences were hit and miss, but overall very good, except for the flies when eating outside. Overall, Manchebo is definitely worth the money spent. We are already planning our next trip!
My stay at Manchebo was excellent. I love being able to open your room door and there's the beach. I visited the whole island and this is the best beach on the island together with Baby Beach. The staff is very firendly, and even thou the rooms were basic, I was truly able to relax and enjoy my vacation. I wouldn't stay anyplace else.
Manchebo Resort is an affordable Aruban option on a beautiful stretch of beach. The rooms are okay and each has a patio/balcony. The staff are friendly and resolve any problems quickly. Not the fanciest place in town, but worth the price paid.
Great location!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Manchebo Beach Resort. The location was picture-perfect right on the beach, the room was very clean, the staff were friendly and made us feel comfortable, and the quality of food at the restaurants were very good. On the day before we were supposed to leave, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we extended our stay - The front desk went out of their way to assist us with changing our reservations. We will definitely be back!
