The hotel no longers offers free shuttle service to/from the airport (which seems true of all airport hotels). Instead, you must either take a taxi (app. 30) or the Hotel Hoppa bus (8 each way). The bus does not go to Terminal 4 (British Airways). Total travel time from Thistle to Terminal 4: 1 hour. This pretty much eliminates the value of paying a premium price for proximity to the airport.
As we checked in, we were asked "shall we make dinner reservations for you?" We said "no" since we didn't want to be committed to a time. When we came to the dining room an hour later, we would have an hour wait, coupled with an unpleasant condescending grimace from the head waiter. Other choices were eating at the bar - which was more expensive and limited - or room service. So we walked a mile and found a pub. The nicest thing I can say about the experience is that the hotel is space limited for food service. The hotel was reasonably priced.
what needs improvement
well i got moved around my room to a smaller bed then the previously 1, and there was this 1 staff member that always attented me even tho i wanted someone else, and always gave me a hard time but every other staff were polite

The hotel is old and far from the city centre, the staff is courteous but inefficient. We left our valuables in the hotel safe because the room safe was broken. When we had to collect them, they gave us another person's valuables !!We never had enough towels for both of us. The TV did not work well. The room was tiny as well as the bathroom.

Stay here only if you need a short stay (1 day) to wait for your next flight. Otherwise the hotel looks old and tired. Rooms are small. There are very long corridors to get to your room. No elevators but they can help with baggage. Hotel Hoppa Bus costs only 4 Pounds(one way) to get to/from airport. But be aware that you may wait the bus H4 more then 30 minutes (instead of advertised 12-15 minutes). If you are party of 2 or more people - take a taxi (8-10 pounds).
