Four blocks off the lake, Hotel Presidential is 6 stories on a busy commerce side street - reasonable prices but not fancy. Smoking room didn't smell, but was darkly lit. Clean and safe. Very helpful staff. 8 Euro/hour internet (if it's working) Everything's closed on Sundays. 8 Euro/day parking or meters in front of hotel. 5 minute walk to the lake boardwalk (afternoon thunderstorms in May/June), ferry to Bellagio, gelateries. 10 minutes to beautiful cathedral, shopping district, or Funiculoare (tram) to the top of the hill for a view.
