The Laurin is a venerable gem, nearly a century old, but well-maintained. Classic European elevator. Only one I've ever been in with a bench seat.Very convenient to the train staition (5 min walk).Windows double insulated for quiet. Plus a double door insulation from hall.All Carrera marble bathroom was among most beautiful I've ever seen.Had a superior-graderoom. Beautiful small balcony overlooking the street and Alps.The dining room was probably one of the best in Bolzano. Had a terrific prix fixe 3-course dinner. Well prepared & well served. Good wine list.Breakfasts (in same room) were also top notch.The bar had an American ex-pat piano player/singer and top-notch bartenders. Quite busy, considering we were there in an off time of year. Separate room for smokers.Beautiful private grounds behind hotel.
