The Pearl was a wonderful anniversery experience. The location is great for walking 5 minutes into "town". All of the other resorts are too isolated. The food was beautiful and yummy. Hard liquor is very pricey. We enjoyed a romantic dinner on the beach that we will never forget. There is a barking dog next door, so be sure to get a bungalow away from it. Garden bungalow pools are really more of a big pond, but nice. You must check out Eva Perles for pearls. She's knowlegable, helpful, fair and has the nicest selection of pearls on the island.

Honeymoon trip = fantastic. Spent days snorkeling around bungalows! Rooms immaculate. Very helpful concierge. Overwater bungalow - best choice, for sure. Don't need a deluxe one. Plus, deluxe ones get most "snorkel traffic" in front of porches anyway. Landings provide perfect sunrise/sunset vantage points. Snorkel gear/kayaks available, pineapple and coconut at the pool. Hotel is the only one really in walking distance (2 minutes) of "town" with bakery, luncheon place, stores, banks, post office, car rental... Nowhere else on island was as convenient for walking.
