I would not stay at this motel again. Paid way too much for a room with a double bed that has not been renovated since the 70s. Hotel across the parking lot looked much more inviting. Room was clean, but was old. Shower tiles were an awful color yellow/beige. Coke machines around the vicinity looks like they have been around since the motel opened, and steals money. Air conditioner is loud and will not stay off. Even if you set it at its highest setting, still kicks on every 2-3 minutes. If you turn it off, it gets blazing hot. The fact that there were security cameras on the corner of the roof looking into the adjacent wooded area was a little unnerving. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the staff, which were all very friendly. If you are staying in the Fort Payne area, choose this motel as a last resort. Or, better yet, find one outside the city limits.

This Econo Logde served the purpose for a get away. I was happy with the price, and expected what I got. There is nothing extravagent, but if just lookiing for a place to sleep and shower, this is exactly what you get. I was happy with the pool area, and again, for the price, I was satisfied. If you're lookiing for luxury or extravagence, you may want to pass on this one, but if just looking for a suitable accomodation, this fits the bill....
