This was my first visit to southern California as well as the LA area. My stay at the Buena Park La Quinta was very pleasant. The location was easy to find and just off the main traffic areas so was nice and quiet. Yet, it is near the expected attractions of the area. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and well maintained. The shower was adequately tall and the bed quite comfortable. They had the usual continental breakfast which was satisfactory. I experienced no problems whatsoever. I am not an 'experienced traveler' and was unsure of what to expect, but was extremely pleased with everything I found here. No one should hesitate to reserve a room at this hotel. If I am ever to travel to this area again, I will certainly try to book my stay at this hotel.

Good stay
Stayed one night. The room was clean and check in and check out were easy. Good quiet location with a number of restaurants nearby. more
We were pleased at the amenities offered by La Quinta in Buena Park. It's easy to get to Knott's, ample parking, and a great HOT breakfast. Far beyond continental, with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, and more. There are plenty of tables to sit and enjoy breakfast or lounge anytime of the day and watch the tv, free coffee or use the microwave in the common area. The dining area had comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We loved the inn's location, away from most other hotels, and nestled in a office building area. Plenty of restaurants and eateries nearby too. They also offer free toiletries that you might have forgotten at home. That came in handy as my husband's shaver got left behind, and the staff generously provided two disposable shavers. We've stayed at the Knott's Resort before and the rooms at La Quinta are comparable, and offer a much better value. Only downsides are that there is no shuttle to Knott's, and the older elevator carpeting, but who cares, you're not sleeping ther, and they work just fine. Also bathroom layout is a bit awkward with use of double doors that open into the entry hallway. Don't know if all rooms have the same layout as Room 523. Although we did not use it, we saw other guests taking advantage of the convenient office center to check e-mail and use the internet. We will definitely stay again.
The queen double room is very large. The toilet and tub/shower are in a separate room. His and hers mirrors are located in the hallway of the room. One mirror has the sink. The sleeping area was spacious with a nice dining table and chairs. The beds were firm, but quite comfortable. Typical hotel bedspreads, but with a nice cotton blanket and great sheets. When asked for additional blankets they were in our room when we arrived back from Knotts. Not the same cotton ones that were on the bed, but soft and comfy as well. The parking was adequate, although don't park off of hotel grounds as you will get a note and possibly towed. The breakfast was nice. Hots scrambled eggs and sausage with bagels and toaster waffles. Two kind of juice, cereal and milk were provided. There were a couple of good restaurants nearby. Over all it was a very nice hotel and I would stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel over the holiday season. We arrived late and the check in process was lengthy. Once situated the room met our needs, however we were suprised at the lack of privacy in the bathroom. The room was clean and quiet and we enjoyed the breakfast every morning.

Ordered a non-smoking room, at the front desk during check-in this was confirmed. This "non-smoking room" reeked of smoke. The windows were open in an effort to air it out. This "non-smoking room" came with 3 ashtrays. The front desk confirmed it was a non-smoking room. The business center internet was down for all but the first morning of our stay, by afternoon it was down. Staff said we would have to wait for the Hotel Manager to get to work on Monday and he would look at it. Still on Tuesday nothin had been done. There are plenty of hotels in this area. Just book elsewhere and save yourself a headache or possibly worse.
