I was impressed with the security that the hotel has. It is an older hotel but still very nice. I felt very safe at this hotel. I felt safe, and that was important since I was traveling alone and I am woman. The Metro is right down from the hotel, a two minute walk. Only one of the workers was rude and not help full. The rest of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Very easy to get there from BWI and National.

The hotel was a good hotel. The room and lobby was nice. Parking was behind the building and it cost * for 3 days which wasnt that bad. The location was about 3 blocks from the metro and it was easy to get around. The hotel was next to a college and houses. It was a safe location and there were several fast food places to eat around the hotel. The metro was only 10 minutes to the White House. The only negative was the check in time. I got there about 12:30 and they told me my room wasnt ready. I came back about 3 and they told me it would be another 5 minutes. I would recomend this hotel.

Great Experience

I loved the convenience to the Metro Link. The traffic in the area was bustling but not excessive. I certainly felt safe in the nieghberhood.

Hotel is in a safe area. Metro is 2 short blocks away. Restaurants are close by with many conveniences. Rooms very good and clean for the price. Checkin was terrible. After 3:00 p.m it took two hours to get a room. Elevator made awful noise all the time but willing to stay there again.

the rooms are very small. Two adults and two children, we couldn't walk past each other. However, the room and bathroom was very, very clean. Also, you will have to pay an extra 15 a day plus tax for parking. Be warned! Good Location. Connecticut Ave. is a main D.C. thoroughfare..many restaurants and things in walking distance.

Our room was clean, good security in the hotel. Very noisy, though - I think a school trip of middle schoolers may have stayed there too - we heard kids talking and running up and down the halls until quite late. Additional soundproofing would have been very welcome.

The hotel ad upon reserving it said "special, free parking". When I checked out I was charged 15 per day. I had no proof on my printed itinerary that the parking was supposed to be free. BEWARE!

This hotel is within easy walking distance of several good restaurants and only twoblocks from the Metro. By D.C. standards the price is great.

This hotel isn't what we would choose if given the time. But, in a time crunch, we made do.It was safe and having the metro 2 blocks away was great. The metro is the best we have ridden.

Motel is in a great location, with a Burger King (serves breakfast) next door and myriad other fast-food and sit-down restaurants, CVS, grocery store and banks/ATMs in 1 block radius. Van Ness metro station is an easy 2 block walk. Motel is old and rooms are small (especially small bathrooms with no counter space), but everything was clean. The new, very fluffy and comfortable bed pillows were a nice touch. No microwave or fridge in room was disappointing. Good place to stay if you just need a place to crash for one night, or if you are on a very tight budget.

This hotel was OK. It had a great price that allowed us to do other things on our budget. The location was also very convenient - 1 block from Metro and you are still in DC. The room and hotel could use some ""updating"". It wasn't dirty, just old. The rooms and corridors are small and crampy. A room refridgerator would have been nice and using the room safe should have been ""free"". Parking was easy - there was a garage next door. The daily parking fee wasn't that bad either. We wouldn't stay here again, but if you're looking for a decent place to just sleep this would work.

Workable Location w/ amenities nearby

This hotel is a grat place for the DC sightseer, as it is only a short walk from the nearest Metro subway station and there are a couple of places to get food and a nearby grocery and drugstore. However, there are no laundry facilities on site or anywhere within a 3-mile radius, so if you plan to stay here, pack extra clothing. The staff could be more helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Hotel management needs to let people know that use of the in-room safe is 2.00 per day--it was an unpleasant surprise billing upon check-out.

It was a place to stay since reasonaby priced hotels further into DC were already booked. It certainly did reduce my commute from 1.5 hours to 25 minutes which was the reason for staying here. Would stay there again if I had to but would prefer a hotel closer to the Mall. Staff were usually frazzeled and slow.
