I took my husband there for his 50th birthday. It was the first time we where ever , The hotel was great. It had alot of Character, I wish I would have been able to gamble back in the day that it was first opened...What a beauty it was. The Buffet was very good. This place was clean, friendly, helpful with activities etc. Another good thing is that they pay your comps right away.....My husband and I already are planning our next trip to the Tropacan. Also, take the time to see the Grand Caynon, it is a 4 hour drive, but OMG well worth it.

I will tell everyone I know about the Tropicana Hotel. I paid a minimal amount to stay at a hotel located right on the strip across the street from the MGM and New York New York. The hotel is so close to all the action. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. There was visible security guards walking around in plain sight so I felt very safe as I was traveling alone. The only thing that I would say was not so great was the "Island Buffet" at dinner. I just got home yesterday and I am already planning my next trip and I will definetly be staying at the Tropicana again!

The Tropicana is great! Our room was clean and comfortable and the location was ideal! We booked the Island Tower but when we arrived, we were upgraded to the Paradise Tower at no additional charge. They have a huge pool area! This hotel is a classic compared to some of the newer ones but that only adds to it's charm. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a nice, clean and secure hotel on the strip - I would definately recommend staying at the Tropicana!

Had a great time in vegas and the tropicana was a great place to visit

We made our annual girls only vacation at the Tropicana this time. We read reviews, and to be honest we didn't know if we should go with the Trop...and price was no object it was all about location. We got there and we were VERY surprised to say the least. The staff was very nice and helpful and we had rooms in the 4000 hall right off the casino. There was no bad odors in the room or casino. We had fresh towels and our room cleaned everyday. Of all the times we've been to Vegas, this was by far the best hotel and the best time we've ever had. Next year, we've already decided to stay at Tropicana instead of trying out yet another hotel. It's old, yes, but it's worth the trip and money to stay. We had a blast. And make sure you get the comp card.......

Room clean, service from check-in to check-out were quick and effecient. I like the fact the people who work there actually look at you and talk to you to see how my stay was going. Unlike the bigger resorts in Las Vegas they don't even say hi, much less care how your stay is going. It is true the hotel is a little outdated, but your there to have fun not stay in your room. As long as they provide clean room and bed for me to sleep and treat me like a person and not a number and the Tropicana folks should be proud. And for the price of a room on a strip location is just a bonus. I do not understand other folks who say motel 6 can even compare - I don't think so!!! And if your stay was so bad why didn't you check out?If your on a budget and want to stay on the strip - Stay at the Trop!!!
