Very obviously not a five star hotel but worth the money. Will be returning when we go to Cedar Point next year. Only minor problem was the musty smell of the room but we had asked for smoking.
use perspective
I stayed at the original Hotel Bellevue two times and felt relief and awe on both occasions. Yes, it is a climb to get there, but what in India...
The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. The jaccuzi suite was nice (large room, very clean).
Wonderful room overall. Need some attention on the room cleanliness though, but we were very pleased. The room was huge and comfortable for our family of 5.
Although it's a half hour drive, this hotel was was worth it. It's the cheapest clean hotel in the area, the pool is great, the rooms were clean, and they called us when we forgot something after checkout. I recommend it. The beds need fitted sheets (I think so, at least), and the hallway windows don't have screens, but that's all I can complain about.
The original Bellevue is best!
This hotel is confusingly located right beneath the "Old Main Bellevue", so you have to be sure to get to the right one. It's a very well maint...
i room istayed in the toilet would not flush and the bed was terrible not comfortable at all and had to drive five miles just to eat breakfast
This was not that bad of a hotel. It was outdated as far as the room accessories (red carpet, lights, dressers, tv, chairs, bedspread, iron, etc.). Room was clean! The front desk person was great, very friendly. We were visiting Cedar Point amusement park so it was about 15 miles away......not too bad if everything else is booked up, however, next time I will try something a little closer. The only reason I would not stay here again is because my sole reason for coming was to visit cedar point and there ar so many more choice that are within 2 miles of the park, so its a no brainer to get closer next time.
My boyfriend and I were taking a road trip out to Colorado and stopped in some places in Ohio. We wanted a place to stay to sleep at night that could fit our low budget, yet close enough to Cedar Point. It was great because the hotel offered each of us a Pepsi can that gave *off at Cedar Point, and also offered a place to pick-up a shuttle to the park (saved money on parking). Its about 20 minutes away from the park in a small town. The front desk staff was always very nice. The continental breakfast was lacking..only had coffee and a couple pastrys, although there is a small resturant that is right out front and a mcdonalds down the street. The hotel had a pool and hot tub, but neither looked like something to brag about. Our room had a small fridge so that was nice to be able to put our drinks in. The bed was nothing too spectaular, but at the end of a day at Cedar point we only wanted a place to sleep. If you are looking for something romantic this is not for you, but if you just need a cheap place to fit a budget this might be good.
The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. Although not luxury, the room was large and we had everything we needed.
well worth the savings
We booked this room b/c it offered the best pkg, price, and ratings for a 4th of July weekend. Our intentions was a nice room to stay in while we traveled to Cedar Point. All I can say is the hotel fixed up just what they photographed, but it wasn't the complete picture. Based on the photos and reviews this looked like a nice hotel but when we got there it turned out to be more like the "Projects" or any other random motel. When we drove up it was late and hard to find b/c the rooms are actually in other buildings. When we got there the lobby appears to have marble and granite but it is closed off by bullet proof glass like a sleazy motel would be, not like the photos lead you to believe. The front desk clerk was nice and very accommodating. I am not sure but i don't think this place even offers room service. Over all the pool never stood out so i don't know if it really existed. As for the room amenities the air condition did not work and our room window had no screen. This place is ideal if you are looking for a standard motel with standard amenities. This place should really be called Bellevue Motel not hotel and suites !
The shower made noises, there were cigarate burns and holes in the comforter, floor was very stained, and glitter on the ceiling. If we weren't charged such an outrageos price for such a lousy room, it wouldn't have been as bad.
Yesterday, I saw a rectangular hole in the sheet, and thought they weren't clean. Tonight, I saw the same hole. Theother bed's were clearly dirty! Tub was tan from the build-up of soap. (So thick, that when I ran a washcloth across it, cloth became tan too!) Brought this to the attention of clerk - she came herself to change sheets and spray tub. But, she wouldn't give me another room - none available. I just checked online travel website, they still have rooms. She was nice, but I'd still rather have a CLEAN room. (She is the only reason I didn't give just one star.)
Loud neighbors in room next to us. Not enough towels and wash cloths. Tub was plugged during shower, water didn't go down quick enough. No kleenex in room. Needs general maintenance on fixtures. Pool needs attention and so does hot tub. Just could be so much nicer there if they tried.
We booked the large family suite with 4 double beds. When we got there the room we booked paid for online was not available. We had to get two small rooms next to each other and divide up the family. The room smelled, the heated pool was not heated, the hot tub did not work. People were running down the halls at 2 in the morning knocking on doors. Never stay here. Not was it appears to be
