This Marriott is probably an older hotel but is very up to date and well-maintained. I was quite taken by surprise that the rooms were spacious-airy-and had splendid beds! I found the 2nd floor to be very quiet and sleeping was very easy. There is a food smell on the 2nd floor from the dining area-and that is the only poor feature that I was aware of. The staff is unbelievably eager to help you and frequently ask what they can do-and the restaurant is the same-with quite good food. The maids only go over the room if you are staying several days and clean up the bath-that seemed odd-but was not significant. The prices were fair and I will hope that I can stay here again when I visit family in this area.

Staff was EXTREEMLY helpful ... we wanted to change room "type" from king to two doubles and they did it w/o ANY problem. Needed to UPS a package we'd purchased and couldn't take it on the plane ... When I asked if they did this "NO PROBLEM" "we CAN do it" ... I REALLY liked the attitude of the staff ... even the ones who weren't necessarilyhelping us personally were friendly and offered to help if they could ... ROOMS were great, beds comfortable and we had 4 pillows EACH .... WEEE HAWWW ... only draw back was they wanted to charge us for internet hook up ... so we had to go to the business center or lobby ... I feel they could have provided wireless w/o a charge to all the rooms ... I'm staying in a * hotel this week end and have wireless in my room ... felt Marriott's * / day was excessive. however, the business center was well equipped and I used it w/o any problems

I would have given the service a 6 if I could have! All went out of their way to be pleasant and helpful. Rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. A bit far from downtown, but a metro bus stop is nearby, and it's 1 for a 24 hour pass!

My husband and I went to Austin to attend a wedding. The hotel is conveniently located, recently updated and very clean and well kept. The staff is courteous and extremely accommodating. The rooms are comfortable as are the beds. This is the place to stay in Austin!

All the help had wonderful attitudes and seemed to try everything they could to make your visit enjoyable. Newer decor, impecably clean, soft beds, great breakfast buffet, buisness center with computers and printers for business needs. I was amazed at the quality of this place for the price. Would definitely stay here again.

I was very happy with this hotel, the beds were soft, the pillows were soft, the room was very clean. They giv eyou bath & body works shampoo, conditioner, body wash and mouth wash, I loved that because it's a brand that I normally use and it didn't leave my skin feeling dry.

Although my wife and I would have preferred to stay closer to downtown, we were very satisfied with our overall experience at Marriott Austin South Airport. As soon as we walked in we knew it would be a pretty good place to hang out for the weekend, especially for the price. There's a beautiful, wide-open lobby, including a stone fireplace and several leather sofas to read the newspaper and sip free delicious sweet tea. Down the hall is a comfortable business room. Just two computers, but the surfing speed is excellent. The swimming pool is small, but the weight room is roomy and clean and the electric bikes and TVs actually work and are easy to use! The staff was courteous and efficient. We ordered room service and enjoyed jalapeno burgers and fries. (Our only criticism would be that we were in our room when the cleaning person knocked on our door. We asked her to come back later. When we returned that evening, our room was still dirty).

Be sure to completely understand what is included. I was certain breakfast was included only to find out it was not.

Dependable digs boast consistent service and ample amenities.
