Great breakfast! Staff helpful and knowledgeable. My only complaint was the pool situation... it was different- the no food or drink allowed near pool rule was strictly enforced by only ONE of the desk clerks and my wife and I were asked by him to get rid of our coffee one evening while watching our children swim. My wife stood outside of the pool and waved to the children through the glass as she sipped hers and I took mine to the room to drink later- cold. On the flip side, the pool area was filled with non-guests frequently. There was a sign-in book in lobby that local residents used to make staff aware of their presence in the pool but I thought it a bit ironic that so many people used the hotel pool and hot tub like a public pool and we could not drink a small cup of coffee and read the paper while we watched the kids swim- and we paid to stay there?? humph!Rooms clean and well cared for daily. Free papers were great. The drive it is located on has several nice features: stores, food, and deer grazed outside of the hotel in field. Coffee available 24 hours a day and we had a nice stay.Would definitely return!
One of the nicest places we've stayed without being overly expensive. I booked online for a king/smoking room, but was given a double/non-smoking. I went to the desk and was quickly changed to the correct room with an upgrade to a whirlpool room. I was told it's better to call the hotel directly to make reservations since reserving online sometimes overbooks. The room was very clean and quiet. Many items available if forgotten: toothbrush and paste, razor, comb, deodorant, shampoo, etc. Micro/fridge in all the rooms is great. Pillow-top mattress made the beds more comfortable than most places. I love the bowed out shower curtain bar that keeps the curtain away and gives more room in the shower. Oh, and the shower massage head was a really nice touch. Cleaning staff was very friendly, efficient, and considerate. The breakfast room was clean and comfortable with a good selection of breakfast items. Something for everyone. The only improvement I could see would be an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Other than that,I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to others.
Hotel is newer than the Holiday Inn, cleaner and more well kept. I hope that it stays that way as the years go on.
