Beijing is an ideal destination for those interested in taking a trip to broaden their educational horizons. Beijing is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China and has a history that can be tracked thousands of years back. The Ancient Observatory, built in 1422 during the Ming Dynasty, houses ancient astronomical instruments that have been preserved since the Qing Dynasty. Located on Guozijian Street, the Temple of Confucius is a fascinating historical stop. The temple was originally built in 1302 and was where people paid homage to Confucius during the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. Be sure to also check out Prince Gong’s Mansion, the Bell and Drum Towers and Shichahai.
