Explore Arts and Entertainment in Beijing
Ever since the 2008 Summer Olympics, Beijing has become a premiere destination for globetrotters. The Encyclopedia Britannica calls Beijing “one of the greatest cities in the world” which is not a bad endorsement if you’re looking to be wildly entertained. Obviously, the National Stadium is a great place to start. After the Olympics ended in 2008, the “Bird’s Nest” opened as a tourist attraction and as a sports and recreation arena. The entertainment enthusiast will not want to miss North Film and TV City. It is located in the Nangong Village and is a multifunctional movie culture city, which includes: film sets and locations, sightseeing, movie education and cultural exchange. To explore bronze and jade from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, ceramics and weavings from the Ming Dynasty, or ivory and enamels from the Qing Dynasty, the Beijing Art Museum is an essential stop.
