Explore Hiking in Branson
Hikers will be pleasantly surprised at the abundance of trails located in Branson and its surrounding parks. The Lakeside Wilderness Hiking Trail, easily accessible from Branson’s neon-illuminated “Strip,” offers several miles of trail with beautiful views of nearby Lake Taneycomo. Just outside the city, Mark Twain National Forest spans 75,000 acres of the most scenic parklands in the Midwest. Look for significant backpacking and hiking trails in Piney Creek Wilderness and Hercules Glades Wilderness. The privately owned Dogwood Canyon has miles of paved and unpaved trails and can be found less than an hour outside of the city.
